Assistant Professor -Interior Design Engineering/Architectural Engineering- Female
Functional purpose
Plans Program of studies, conducts courses of instruction, offers advisory role in curriculum development, program implementation and supervises instructional faculty and support staff. Reports to the manager of General Studies and coordinates all related activities within the department. Interacts with other professionals, heads of departments and teaching staff.
Operational tasks
she should
Plan,develops, organizes and conducts assigned course(s) of studies, research and evaluates student performance.
Ensures appropriate instructional delivery framework and monitors theoretical / practical exercises in selected areas, topics, themes related to the program of study.
Acts as head of the department (as and when required), prepares departmental budget and annual acquisition plan for manpower needs, materials, equipment and consumables.
Performs as an expert / consultant on matters related to education and training progrms.
Reviews and evaluates concerned specialty, curriculum, program schedules, departmental policy and procedures, and recommends specific proposals for change, work efficiency and productivity.
Ensures compliance with academic policy, decisions, regulations and ensures safety standards in classrooms, labs and workshops.
Coordinates program objectives and classroom activities with other concerned specialists, faculty and heads of departments.
Prepares analyses, progress reports and conducts professional briefings on matters related to college program offerings, curriculum implementation and instructional staff.
Evaluates faculty performance and makes recommendations for faculty recruitment and support staff.
Uertakes other related functions or assignments.

Functional purpose
Teaches theoretical and practical lectures, teaches the assigned course in the classroom or laboratory and conducts assessments and prepares examination questions and correct papers.
Operational tasks

Teach students through planning and organizing the curriculum in accordance with the academic schedule.
Prepare examination questions and correct papers.
Perform theoretical and practical exercises on various topics related to the syllabus.
Encourage classroom discussions on different curriculum-related topics.
Prepare and perform experiments and conduct workshops as part of educational programs.
Assist in preparing academic curriculum, lesson plans, suggesting and recommending amendments to educational programs as needed.
Monitor and assess students’ performance and report results to supervisors.
Keep up with the latest developments in the syllabus.
Participate in the curriculum committee.
Comply with the colleges’ policies, objectives, rules, and regulation.
Perform any other job related duties.
