Surgery Assistant Consultant – Subspecialty Assistant Consultant (Ophthalmology)

الوصف الوظيفي
Position Purpose

To provide medical services for the overall management of patients that lie within the scope of services of their specialty and their privileges.To contribute to administration, education and research at KAAUH.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Surgery Assistant Consultants are expected to:

Qualification and Experience

Education and Professional Certifications/Licenses

Full all the requirements for the Assistant Consultant rank in the primary specialty.Certification by the appropriate Sub-specialty recognized by the SCHS.Current SCHS registration or Candidate must meet the SCHS criteria for Registrar in the Sub-specialty.

Experience

Successfull of completion of one (1) year of training in the subspecialty recognized by SCHS. Two (2) years clinical experience post certification in the institution acceptable to KAAUH.

Intermediate

Interpersonal and communication skills appropriate to the level of practice,
Advanced

Fluency in the English language, both written and spoken,
Intermediate

Basic computer skills to enable utilization of the Electronic Medical Record, and other practice relevant IT systems,

Assistant Consultant – Obstetrics & Gynecology

الوصف الوظيفي

Position Purpose

To exercise the highest possible standard of patient care according to his/her clinical privileges and available resources. Contributes to the teaching and training activities of the Obstetrics & Gynecology. Works towards completing his professional training in Obstetrics & Gynecology including diagnostics and therapeutic intervention. He/ She holds the responsibilities of being physically present in the delivery room twenty four hours a day, seven days a week.

Education and Professional Certifications/Licenses

Minimum or Required:

Graduation from a medical school recognized by SCHS and acceptable to KAAUH.
Certification by the appropriate specialty recognized by the SCHS.
Current SCHS registration/license Obstetrics & Gynecology candidate must meet the SCHS criteria for registrar classification in the specialty within one year of application.
Certificate in advanced life support in obstetrics (ALSO)
Pediatricians are certified in neonatal resuscitation program (NRP).
Experience:

Successful completion of (2) or more years of training in the specialty recognized by SCHS.
(
3) years relevant experience as registrar post-certification
