Job Purpose
|
The role holder is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy and portfolio of assessment tools and processes to ensure accurate and comprehensive evaluation and assessment of current and future talent. Responsible for the overall management and delivery of the assessment centre services in order to provide robust assessment data that supports making conclusive hiring, succession and development decisions. The role holder shall carry out his duties in accordance with the stipulated business policies and procedures. |

Core Responsibilities
|
Managerial Responsibilities
- Participates in the development and implementation of the Assessment plans, in line with the corporate objectives.
- Directs and manages the Assessment Department mandates, providing leadership and facilitating work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.
- Manages and controls change in the Assessment department providing guidance and support, necessary for continuous improvement.
- Ensures compliance with organizational policies, procedures and quality standards in the Assessment Department.
Assessment Centre
- Ensures that assessments consider t multiple competency facets to provide accurate and comprehensive assessment evaluation
- Ensures delivery of assessment information that supports the Career Management, Recruitment department and Learning and Development Department in creating learning and development solutions, and making hiring decisions
- Ensures alignment of assessment centre direction with organizational and capability development strategy.
- Collaborates with stakeholder across the organization to continuously review and update competency framework to be used as a foundation for all assessment activities.
- Oversees the Development of methods for evaluating effectiveness of established assessment programs
- Understand of the overall execution of the assessment centre services, tools, methodology and physical centre management in order to ensure the smooth running of the operations and to be able to identify areas of risk and improvement.
- Finalizes contract negotiations of assessment center services in coordination with Procurement
- Ensures delivery of assessment centers is as per requirements and plans defined in the contracts and organizational requirements
- Supervises the collation and analysis of employees feedback on assessment center services and takes appropriate measures
- Guides internal assessors to further develop themselves through the effective support of assessment center activities.
- Keeps abreast of current leadership research, assessment trends and best practices to support assessment centre service delivery
- Leads the design, development and implementation of STC’s approach to assessment for leadership and functional capability development, in addition to new hires assessment
- Educates leaders and employees on how assessments are used and their purpose within STC
- Ensures that assessment reports are compliant with governing standards and best practice interpretation, use and evaluation.
- Leads the selection of assessment tools and vendor in content areas as per organization and functional requirements.
- Manages Vendor relationship to ensure that quality of services is maintained
People Management Responsibilities
- Defines goals and key performance indicators for each member of the team and ensures effective application of the STC performance management process.
- Directs planning and selection of manpower in the Assessment Centre Department, in line with the business and operational plans.
- Ensures high level of employee engagement and capability development by providing on-going feedback and coaching team members within the Assessment Centre Department.
Performs other responsibilities and tasks as directed by the Learning & Development General Manager in order to meet objectives. |

Qualifications/
Certification

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Business Administration or equivalent
Master degree in Business Administration with specialization in Human Resources preferred
Recognized courses in Training from a certified institutes like American Society of Training & Development
Professional certifications in HR from internationally recognized bodies such as CIPD and SHRM |

A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with at least 3-4 years in a similar role |

Job Purpose |
Jobs at this level are responsible for gathering information and evidence, reviewing existing documentation, supporting data analysis for investigations and ensuring that required information is reported accurately. Also, they are responsible for coordinating within sectors to ensure delivery of accurate information and supporting them with new rules and regulations issued by government authorities.

Core Responsibilities
|
- Perform routine activities within the specified scope.
- Assist in the investigation of legal cases of basic to moderate complexity, conducts background research and collects the necessary information and documents to support a case or incident.
- Coordinate with relevant sectors to gather information and evidence by interviewing concerned individuals and reviewing available documentation.
- Develop reports based on investigations and ensures that the required information is reported accurately, wherever required.
- Develop an understanding by interpreting legal issues and provides recommendations and alternatives to senior members for the best course of action.
- Assist in analysing and reporting the data regarding studies about new rules and regulations issued by government authorities.
- Coordinate with relevant sectors – Network, IT and Information Center to ensure delivery of accurate information not available in the ICMS system.
- Assist in analyses of data regarding investigations of violations committed by company employees in the regions and reports it to the senior management.
- Prepare legal documents, contracts and agreements and submits these to senior members for review.
- Conduct legal researches and studies on the activities and procedures as mandated by the senior members/lawyers.
- Share the knowledge, learning and issue resolutions with other members of the team.
- Help with routine work and escalates issues, as necessary.
- Liaise within the assigned team to build effective working relationships.
